Writing a Literature Review
Synthesising sources instead of listing them.
A literature review groups sources by theme, not one paragraph per source. Read for patterns: where do sources agree, disagree, or leave a gap? Write one paragraph per theme, cite several sources in it, and state what the body of evidence taken together suggests. A list of summaries is the most common reason a literature review loses marks.
